Following advice issued by the Scottish and UK Governments, the Camanachd Association has today taken the unprecedented decision to postpone all competitive shinty with immediate effect. This will last until further notice.
As an affiliated organisation, Aberdour Shinty Club will comply with this decision. This means that ALL competitive shinty fixtures arranged at Senior, U14, and Primary School levels are POSTPONED with immediate effect. This includes all male and female shinty.
TRAINING – as schools as yet, remain open, the club has taken that as our guide for the continuation of training as per our current training schedule. All players are advised however, to ensure that all training kit is thoroughly cleaned prior to arrival at any of the venues we utilise. This is particularly relevant for any shared kit such as sticks/helmets etc. Parents of primary school players are also advised to ensure that no player shares their water bottles. ALL players/parents etc. MUST wash their hands on entry to the training venue, and once again as they transition to their home or next destination.
The club will continue to monitor and review Government guidance as the response to this Pandemic develops. It is noted that this is a fast-moving matter but in the meantime – ALL competitive fixtures are postponed whilst training continues.
